The bench in this picture is made from Leadwood and the legs are from Jackalberry.
The bench is treated and oiled for a perfect finish and that original wood texture and smell and is suitable for indoor or outdoor use.
This bench is ideal for a patio with a similar table or can be used on its own in the garden or on the patio.
Handmade with perfection, this bench is one of a kind, ideal for a wood lover who appreciates handmade furniture rather than factory made furniture.
Fun fact:
Leadwood is protected in South Africa, but fallen branches and trees left behind by marauding elephants are allowed to be used for furniture.
Jackalberry trees are most commonly found on termite mounds as they provide the tree with aerated soil and a source of moisture, and the roots provide protection for the termites. Jackalberry wood is termite-resistant after it has been cut down.
