Not stained, only weathered and varnished with a clear matte marine varnish which can sustain the toughest weather conditions and will prevent the table from damaging in the sun, rain or spills from drinks.

It is believed that in Kwa-Zulu Natal the Red Ivory Tree was known as the royal tree because only chiefs were allowed to carry knobkerries made from it.
